Thanks a lot for that, Swale.  Appreciated by all.

Disappointing though to hear that the same problem with the grates is still ongoing.

 I imagined this conversation:

" How was the mine start-up last year."  

"Good, except for the breaking grates."

 "So what did you do?"  

"We installed stronger grates."  

"How did that work out?"  

"They broke, so we installed stronger grates."

"Did that solve the problem?"  

"No, they weren't strong enough, so we're installing stronger grates."  

"Will that solve the problem?"  

"We hope so but if not, we'll install stronger grates."
