I think that Legacy would be the most logical choice to buy BWD . But doubt it will happen has seen as it hasn't already. I have always thought  of this stock  as a pure land play . BWD aquired their land position for 1/2 the price , that land is currently being bought for   .   Not a lot of land left  in the area and what is left is selling for above average prices . BWD paid an average of 250/acre for their land position. Current sales are $500-$1000/acre .

Most reports on the AB bakken talk about finding the sweet spots . If you look at research reports from BMO . They talk also about the natural faults in the region and diagrams their presence .  Then they show an Exshaw to Stettler Isopach map  , a map that shows the potential sweet spots due to the most depth of the oil pay zone . The Exshaw and Stettler formations being right next to the bakken.    BWD has a huge portion of land that  has over 30m thick of oil pay zone the deepest in the region. The isopach map shows most of the region being coverd in below 10m thick pay zone a  good portion of 10-20 and only a few spots that have over 30 . With BWD having a huge chunk of this in the 22-6 W4 area.  With three potential pay zones and the area being underdrilled to date.  Someone is going to drill on BWD's land to test the Hypothesis.
