RE: Is the deal finally on? Plan B
What is Q worth?
Based on $400/oz and current NI 43-101 3,700,000 oz, approximately $17.41 per share.
Based on $800/ oz and speculation $35 per share.
Based on $400/oz and updated NI 43-101 in September of 7,000,000 oz $35 per share.
Based on $400/oz and projected 20-40M oz, do the math.
Interesting question you pose rbsanitation.
Well, 12 months ago, in situ gold deposits were worth $120/oz Au.
At the start of May, this had dropped to $60/oz Au on average for explorers.
There are many companies that are valued at much, much less that I'd expect would appear to be better acquisition targets.
Prophecy Platinum, NKL, for example, has 9 million equivalent gold ounces (12+M PGM+Au ounces and 5 billion pounds of Nickel, Copper and Cobalt + other metals as well) and the gold alone would be trading at about $10/oz eq Au. Throw in the other metals and it drops to under $5/oz eq Au based on it's approximate $115 market cap.
AMG last week was an unbelievable $1.20/oz Au!
I'm just saying that while QMI clearly has other advantages, don't base your takeover value on unrealistic, supposedly attractive in situ gold values. Based on that metric alone, they'd never get bought out.
