RE: RE: RE: Step out holes A step out hole is pretty self explanatory. You drill a hole, then drill another one a certain distance away from it. It's usually done when you drill into mineralization, and you want to see if the deposit continues along a distance..By "flat" deposit think in terms of a sheet of ice rather than icicle. When magma works its way up carrying minerilzation, it can take all kinds of paths, and can also be altered by earth shifts over millions of years. The point about a 25m stepout is that won't really tell you if the deposit is flat like a sheet of ice or something more conical.etc.. If they stepped out 100m in all 4 directions and all hit similar mineralization, you can much more easily start estimating the size of the deposit. They will then keep stepping out to define the perimeters of the deposit. Once that is completed they will do "infill drilling" between all the stepout holes to make sure the mineralization is uniform i.e. maybe by a fluke your 100m stepout hit a second conical structure and the ground is barren between them.
