2012-06-27 15:14 ET - In the News
Brien Lundin, in the June, 2012, edition of the Gold Newsletter, refreshes his buy of Wally Berukoff's Lion One Metals Ltd. (formerly X-Tal Minerals Corp.), recently 68 cents. Mr. Lundin said buy three times between December, 2010, and May, 2012, at prices ranging from 76 cents to $1.35. Assuming a $1,000 investment for each buy, the $3,000 position is now worth $1,959. Lion One is working on a feasibility study for its Tuvatu gold project in Fiji. The feasibility work includes a surface mapping program, which aims to expand Tuvatu's existing resource. Based on results so far, Lion One has extended the strike length of the project's 290 vein by 1,420 metres, the Murau West 1 vein by 870 metres and the Murau West 3 vein by 1,300 metres. Mr. Lundin says the strike length extensions indicate Tuvatu's high potential as a gold project. He notes the project lies on the Pacific Ocean's Ring of Fire region, where there are several multimillion-ounce gold-silver and copper-gold projects. Buy. Elsewhere in the newsletter, Mr. Lundin says markets will continue to be volatile in the near term because of worries over the European debt crisis. However, great gains could be made in the long term, as markets climb out of the crisis.
