The Petromagdalena deal was terrible for shareholders...depending on one's estimate of their NAV, it was on average 20% below NAV, and the deal was less than was PMD traded for only a few months prior. Granted they were getting low on cash, so the shareholders didn't have much choice.
This would be roughly equivalent to a PTA takeout in the 0.17-.18 cent range. PTA doesn't have the cash issue currently, but a takeout would not be above 0.20 without a further well hit. I'll pass, thanks.
