I don't think there was anything fishy about Marc.

Its really a case of bad management- there was really nothing wrong with the company except management- what do you expect from someone who cannot learn- or critically question his decisions.  When you are public, I think that it is critically important to talk to investors all the time and listen to what they are telling you and telling them what they want to hear- it was mexico they wanted not some Chinese loopy goopy impossible to vet project. They lost mexico and it was straight down from there.

Many, many, many companies fail this way- bad cash mgt, ceo taking too much, bad communication, lack of holes drilled, lack of talent hired, lack of cash in, combine with a bad market for yrs and you have SDRG.  They had better chances land wise than most juniors.

But all the people crying here, let me point out some real doosies- one of them on marc's board- that Robert Fung of Crystallex- that guy- oh that guy did some taking. They had 60m+ in cash and he blew it all- in "legal costs" in Venezuela- did it over yrs, the guy could have cleaned up in '08 and bought plenty of other properties or whole companies. No TSX or OSC inquiry, no front page globe and mail, it looks like the guy basically pocketed it cash and delisted the company. Nothing, no outcry- nothing.  The nuts on this guy- incredible.

Another was that EAST ASIA MINERALS CORP ceo Michael Hawkins- another total scammer, not the company but the CEO.

I think with marc it’s really just a lack of making a decision to surround himself with good people and advisors, poor money management skills- both could have been learned, I think it was ego or a lack of trust.

Some “leaders” are lauded for leading the charge into battle, never asking for help- some of those people are successful, sometimes just by chance- some people are not. There are more not successful people that successful. Those stoic type “leaders” are mythicized in the press, but more often than not those types fail the most. We just like that hero type.

Really the question is, what could marc even do for his comeback- in any career.
