Think trading will be very low today

With US markets closed, the only way to trade Canadian stock with my major US broker is to call their global market desk and manually place a trade through TSE, they only have about 30 brokers total on this desk.  I would assume most others are the same  I would think that would limit the number of shares being traded and wonder how long they will be down?.  It would seem to me, that with today's technoloy that an alternate method should be in place to prevent something like this.
