RE: Earning Increase
RE: Earning Increase Not to be negative, but until Shafter is up and running to its 1500 tonne/day, I'd imagine cost/oz is much higher than the $8.73/oz assumed from management's presentations. Would of been nice if they could have released a little more detailed information in the release. Hopefully they'll have some subsequent releases, but it almost sounds like we won't get confirmation of 1500tpd production until end of first quarter. Details on the ramp-up plan would of been nice. Think we're getting 8-10oz/tonne?
- Aurcana has implemented a production ramp up plan to gradually increase production towards the phase I planned capacity of 1,500tpd, as mining operations proceed.
- Initial production results from the Shafter mine are expected to be included in Aurcana''s Q1 2013 financial results.
From 3Q MD&A:
Shafter - In July 2008 Tetra Tech Inc., of Golden, Colorado completed a NI 43-101 compliant report disclosing a measured and indicated resource estimated at 24.6 million ounces of silver (2,090,000 tonnes average 8.48 silver Oz/ton) and an inferred resource estimated at 22.8 million ounces of silver (2,167,000 tonnes average 10.52 silver Oz/ton) using a four ounce per ton cut off. The full report can be viewed on the Aurcana website www.aurcana.com or on SEDAR www.sedar.com.
