I am not sure where the hostility came from. How do you come to the conclusion that I have even suggested that dividends are based upon share price, when I am saying the yield percentage you see, on a quote screen, is the annual dividend divided by the current share price and expressed as a percentage. I am simply stating that when individual investors see the yield percentages are high they automatically get sceptical and jumpy. I do understand that companies pay based on net income and CHR's net income is still good enough to maintain the 15 cent quarterly dividend ....IMHO.  Also, it doesn't matter what you sell your shares for when figuring your own dividend yield....it matters what you paid for them. It looks like you may be misleading others as well with examples like that.
