Time for Some Geography

Time for Some Geography

I see some posters who seem to think that it is significant that there are rebels in Mali and that adds a level of risk to the mines there. (1)   I guess people in Toronto would be quaking in their boots if al Qaeda took a strong hold in Vancouver as Toronto would be sure to fall the next day? (3)

.

I mean really - look at the freaking Geogrpahy!  See where the rebels are and where the mines are located?

.

.

Then look at the sat photo - these guys took over a bunch of desert! Whoo hoo!

.

1.   [sorry if anyone in particular feels singled out for being ignorant and attacked by my attempt to shed some "education" and understanding to the situation.  Sigh.  I guess it is just my "radical opinion" that one ought to deal with FACTS and knowledge rather than inuendo and fear - but hey, I'm jaded that way.  Back to emotional investing....]

3. waiting for some genius to talk about the Km differences between Toronto & Vancouver vis the distances from Bamako and Timbuktu!
