We have to be encouraged by the news lately.  Updates from the front are skimpy on details(still better than the updates from Merrex) but it appears that the islamists abandoned their stronghold in Goa without much of a fight.  More importantly it appears that their equipment is largely a collection of charred scrap metal.

The Tuareg initally thought they could partner with the islamist but have since learned otherwise-no more united front.  TheTuareg are seeking a peaceful solution, some form of regional autonomy.  If this happens, and it should, Al-Qaedea will be squeezed out of Mali.  And a clear message will have been sent to other terror groups, the international community will stand with African states against subversion.

Mali is on the way back to being a preferred destination for mining investment
