RE: Pretty sad what is happening to Junior miners Hi fairchij,
I'm only part way through your post, but I will be reading it thoroughly. It's a funny coincidence that i added gold canyon to my watchlist just 2 days ago for an OPL related reason.
I was wondering what I'm going to do with myself after OPEL is sold. I thought it would be a shame to waste what I have learned focusing almost exclusively on OPEL, when my original intent was to learning about investing generally. I recalled a conversation I had with one of the IBK guys on the shuttle ride to UConn. He mentioned that they first heard about OPEL because of a gallium study they were doing for a client. I think they assumed the client was going to invest in a miner. Turns out they wanted to figure out how shortages in gallium would impact OPEL if POET were to ever take off.
I found Gold Canyon when I was looking for gallium miners. I knew that most of the virgin gallium in use today is a byproduct of aluminum (bauxite) and zinc, and much of the gallium used comes from recycled scrap. I was interested to see if any companies made extracting gallium their primary concern.
It turns out gold canyon has their Cordero Gallium Project I was just starting to look at.
