An Observation?

An Observation?

Many Oil and Gas companies are going to be releasing p+p reserves and Q4 results soon.  NVS has stated to a few of use in e-mails that they are not releasing p+p reserves this year but Q4 will be released in April.  In short many companies are busy this time of year.  Do they have the time to get into a takeover or the possibility of a bidding war?  My gut is telling me that when NVS is in play (an offer) there may be another / other offers come out after.

Also I think there is possibility that an offer will be a stock / cash offer.  If a company is going to release good p+p and good Q4 they will see a nice pop in there price.  Meaning that a stock/cash offer will look more attractive after results than before.  Traditionally (not always) the company that is making the offer, there stock pulls back a bit.  If the stock has a nice pop and pull back from making the offer will not affect them as much.  It's all a game.

So when I think an offer is expected ....... no idea.
