Brokers won't let short- desperate shorters

Brokers won't let short- desperate shorters

Please call your brokers to see if it is the same, but mine won't let you short ORT. It is not marginable so can't be shorted even if you have 100 times the money you are shorting.

I am not short, I am long and added today!! I was curious.

If all the brokers give us the same answer than is it possible that the new shorts are covered??  If this is the case I believe that retail cant be long and short the same stock, my broker sont allow it, and only institutions can be and they need tmx approval I believe. If this is true and they are long and short that seems like manipulation to me and would prove what many here have been saying for months/years. There is no benefit to this because the warrants are at higher prices so to me it looks like desperation from the shorts to cap it.
