RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: Interesting.... Actually a lot of the mineral rights are held by people who have never even been on the land before. In a few areas like pierson and sinclair, no one thought there was going to be any new oil found so when land was being sold the purchaser most often did not include the mineral rights in the sale. The land has changed hands a few times but the mineral rights can still be held by the great grandson of a farmer who originally bought the land from the crown. A lot of the farmers in these areas make decent money off of leasing the surface rights. ATK would not 'own' the land, it would make no sense to, and you get an over riding royalty by leasing the mineral rights so very few people will sell them.
Wtih that being said i'm still not sure what point you are trying to make.
