The answer could be yes. Biodiesel production costs might be improved via newer catalysts which Lignol might be testing as part of their ethanol production research. E.g., from aussi researchers using canola & ethanol with metal oxide nano-particle catalysts: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0926337308003755
