Not happy unless we're unhappy . . . . . . we are the OPEL "longs"
Sweet Jebus, we keep going in circles. There sure are enough opinions floating around to keep things interesting. We've had those who think that only the technical milestones matter, and we've had those who think the promotion is the number one priority. Think the opposing endeavour is a complete waste of time. Gotta love false dichotomies.
Of course there are some who think both matter, and who understand that both efforts can take place simultaneously since they are done by different groups of people, but then they ruin it by imagining that both tasks should be completed as of yesterday.
It's mid March.
MARCH!!!!
That means it's also been only about 9 months since the new management started their work, picking up the pieces after the solar debacle, balancing the books. And it's only been about 6 months since Shepherd started to find out that nobody south of the border knows that the fûçk a POET is, and then made a plan to monetize POET.
Upon what hilltop do you stand when you look down on the efforts of the current management team? What the hail have you complainers done in the last 9 months besides saturate a few boxes worth of Kleenexes with tears and snot (and who knows what else) because you aren't getting rich fast enough?!
Were you only children by any chance?
Seriously, these things take time. And yes there are still risks, some of which increase the risk over time. It is possible we could lose the race against other technologies or get picked off for cheap. But frig, if you think there's another way to do this let's hear it.
Maybe Doc Brown can bring the Delorean by, and we can prevent OPEL from ever teetering on the brink of bankruptcy. Remember that? All of us longs were almost lining the bottom of our bird cages with OPEL share certificates.
The new management turned it around so give them a chance to formulate the next phase of the plan. When it's ready to go you will see the results. I won't even guess about whether they will reach the $2 - $2.50 target before delivering the sample chips. Who knows? But based on their track record they should have earned more confidence from the shareholder base.
Sorry for venting, but the whining is getting brutal.
