That could be one reason the stock is selling off. People may be shorting the stock as well.
I don't think it takes much selling to send this stock a lot lower either.
Last time copper was this shorted it seemed to have risen in early 2006. I have no idea what will happen but my main concern is copper dropping below the baseline $1.75lb for copper. Not sure it will fall that much.
