Hold on a minute.I was shocked to read your post but now I see why.You must have only read the last one where i agreed that Timminco was a good comparison to ORT after someone else compared the two.If you read back several of my posts you will see I said it seemed like a real bargain after it broke through a buck and that I wish i had bought some down there. If i hadn’t been getting crushed by MMT at the time I would have bought some but i wasn’t in the risk taking mood.I also said it could be one of those “once In a lifetime” stocks. And i stand by that.Maybe i wasn’t clear but i was just saying it was a valid comparison because it is a similar story(that will hopefully have a different ending)in that they both had/have breakthrough processing technologies for silicon(tim) and alumina(ORT).
You’re right that I haven’t done my DD but as far as i know Orbite has proven it works,as you say, and are producing in small amounts.I didn't know about the viola deal.Sounds good but seems surprising how the SP has reacted. The issue with some I believe is scalability at this point.I am super keen on the story and had planned to buy more, but, like so many stocks it has gotten crushed so I’ve been waiting for the smoke to clear a bit and get some better visibility.I have owned a small position(and getting smaller $$ value all the time)for well over a year.Maybe 2 yrs. It’s been one wild ride.I don’t think it will be another timminco but it’s not impossible either.Cleary based on the SP,there are skeptics.Don’t think anybody can deny that fact.Unless he has changed his opinion,James West was a big fan saying that one of the majors HAD to buy it out just to maintain market advantage that the competition would get if they bought it since whoever had it could produce at much cheaper prices.I am intrigued by the ultra pure part as I hear that product is heavily used In LED lights which is growing in leaps and bounds.Just a misunderstanding.I’ll be more careful with my wording from now on.Open to your input as i would love to learn more about it but maybe we should take it to the ORT board.
