ProGeo,

You should have taken a 4WD Hummer trip to the rugged territory to see some mining real estate there, at least to see Barrick huge hole at Pueblo Viejo.  Yust kidding.

1. One time I got similar answer from a CEO (don't recall which one) on the same topic. He said the colour projection on the surface is dependent on a case-by-case basis. For a suspicious mind, in this computer age it could mean that they don't want to "spoon feed" us with a unified colour scale, which would be too easy. It is quite feasible to present the colour scheme using the same unified scale, i.e. using a calibration by the mV/V value, for all locations and cases. In other words, a colour scheme using an absolute scale should be possible, and I would bet that they have the info to correlate the (absolute) colours for the potential grades in different areas.

2. Your post says "IP can only done on the ground": 2 questions for home schooling on geo-physics:

- The plan view for the IP results (like slide 15) comes from survey on the surface, i.e. running the detectors over the terrain just like doing a GPR survey?

- The section view (like slide 12) comes from a "down-hole" survey with the detectors, inserted in a drill hole, looking side way? Is it why is it called "deep IP" in slide 12, and this can only be done when they have a deep-enough "empty" drill hole?
