RE: RE: Excerpted from MD&A April 22, 2013 Those expenses are quite conservative for the work done, especially considering industry standards. This isn’t about making management making more money, it is about keeping capital close to the company and the people who drive it, rather than sending it out.
Vertical integration is the hallmark of the best run, longest-lived juniors in the industry, typically leading to lower overall burn rates and faster execution. Why send money out of the group to expensive contractors who have no stake in the company and little passion for the projects?
Anyone who knows Sandy Stares knows he is a “boot-leather” explorationist at heart who personally oversees the programs and leads the team from the field. I like that the President and CEO is out in the bush, weeks on end, running the programs. I like that the same can be said for Wayne Reid. To me that is just great leadership and what they charge is a bargain rate.
There’s no one better to run field programs than Sandy Stares and Wayne Reid’s exploration groups, hands-on. With this model, Metals Creek’s future success rests solely on the initiative and strength of management. I wouldn’t want it any other way.
