That makes sense--I hadn't thought about seismic calibration in particular.  I used to the in the industry, but not on the technical side and it was 10 plus years ago too.  I was under the impression that they did more logging/testing as they were drilling these days . . . . 

Do you have any ideas, or informed speculation, about the time on the logging and testing?  Any differences on what they would be doing in the case of just information collection vs. commercial quantities of hydrocarbons?

I appreciate the good substantive input.
