Your statements tend to misrepresent  the facts reported  so far. As far your statement that the LWD confirmed the "absence of oil", how do you explain the oil shows they reported. LWD does not confirm the quanities of oil in the reservoir.  They would have seen crossover on the density  and neutron log, indicating hydrocarbons. This along with the resistivity curves would indicate with high probability the presence of hydrocarbons. Please explain how you believe the seismic was misinterpreted? 3-D seismic does not give a porosity value or range. Are you saying 3-D seismic is a 100% predictor of commercial oil stratum? If so, heck ,we would never drill a non-commercial well. I wish you would have told me this years ago, I could have given Jim Bob Moffett a run for the money !
