Regime change, shredders and e-mail deletionsOne neat thing that happens when there is a regime change is that outsiders get to find out where the bodies are buried (so to speak). For example, when East Germany collapsed, the West got to go through the Stasi files and discovered who the spies were in the West. (Are you listening, HT?) So the outgoing regime faces a difficult decision about when to crank up the paper shredders and start deleting those e-mails. They also need to decide when to have their last cigarette.
Tick tick tick.
