skin cancer most common cancer in Canada Why no Dr's billing code for skin cancer screening devices? 1000 Canadians will die from skin cancer in 2013!
2013 Canadian Cancer Statisitic...An estimated 187,600 new cases of cancer (excluding about 81,700 non-melanoma skin cancers) and 75,500 deaths will occur in Canada in 2013.
That's 82,000 incidences of non-melanoma skin cancer!
Could wide-spread adoption and Government support of the Aura reduce the number of deaths associated with skin cancer? Likely. And there is a billing code for oral cancer screening devices like LMD's, and yet none for skin cancer! In the immediacy of disaster, governments will spend millions of dollars, but spread-out over a year....
"While it is not unusual to read about cancers like breast or
prostate cancer, what you may not realize is that the most
common cancer in Canada is actually skin cancer, with
melanoma being the cancer’s deadliest form. 1 in 63 Canadian
men and 1 in 79 Canadian women are expected to develop
melanoma; over a thousand people will die from it by the end
of the year."
