RE:RE:Is there a better place for a Prosperity Project?
The history of the dealings between the Tsilhqot'in and the Europeans (us) is that they didn't want anything to do with us (see "Makuk" by John Lutz). They didn't even want to trade, and they certainly didn't want anybody to settle their land and interfere with their hunting and fishing, so nobody should be surprised their descendants don't want this mine. Furthermore, anybody who has driven the road past the Highland Valley mine near Ashcroft BC knows what the Tsilhqot'in are worried about - a gigantic industrial site that extends for miles. Doesn't mean it has to be like that at Prosperity, though, as I'm sure everyone knows. Good luck here, I think you are going to need it.
