RE:Qsolar India Deal

RE:Qsolar India Deal
I think this news release is bigger than it seems at first read.. Going through the ETI Dynamics website demonstrates this is the biggest partner Q has been involved with to date and it opens up a huge market in India. If memory servers me correctly... there has to be a % of pv panels manufactured/assembled within India. So I think that this will lead to an assembly plant in India for Q products as this moves forward and ETI has successful  project implementations.

"The primary objective of the strategic partnership is to bring QSolar’s products on to ETI Dynamics energy platform that ushers economic and technological innovation into the market. ETI Dynamics will identify and develop sites that will introduce QSolar’s proprietary and innovative polymer Spraytek® and light -weight back-sheet technologies and solar products to the Indian market."

One of the other exciting things to me is that Q is tapping into an established sales channel with a well established partner that knows how to implement large projects in many sectors and are already in the EPC stage of a 100MW project in India. This partnership will open doors and opportunities that would be very difficult for Q to get on their own. IMHO

Reading through the ETI website shows they do work in Africa which could also mean another market for Q products. Also ETI has established partnership with Zeus Environergy which will provide financing for large projects. More on this below from the ETI website.

Zeus Environergy
This is a collaboration with Zeus Caps, which is an principal investments and an advisory firm largely focused on infrastructure assets in Asia and Middle East. Zeus Environergy is an asset management and holding company for renewable energy and environmental projects. It will channel investments from a number of investors around the world into a number of projects.

Currently, it is developing projects in the following sectors:
1. Water  (largely waste-water treatment)
2. Energy (big solar, energy from waste)

Note the Middle East connection. The pieces of the puzzle are coming together.

All in all a very positive announcement IMHO. Another step in building a company. Well done QSolar.. Hats off to management and all the people working hard to make 2014 a success.

Happy Holidays to all and a good New Year.
