RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:NMCI Re: when will companies know their share of the HP contract?
- based on recent info, I believe the Dept of the Navy is reviewing those options now
- if that is accurate, companies could get their share of the contract at any time.
- I'm not aware of any guarantee that Route1 will get any of the NGEN contract,
- but things would have looked much worse if HP did not win that appeal for the award
The Navy did things differently with this new NGEN contract.
Technically, the contract was won by
HP Enterprise Services and its NGEN Alliance Partners:
- AT&T Government Solutions, Inc.,
- IBM Global Business Services Federal,
- Lockheed Martin Services, Inc.
- and Northrop Grumman Systems Corp.

As a side note, I was wondering if Tony was trying to send some subliminal messages, without breaking client confidentiality?
I thought it was interesting that Tony did a tweet on December 18, referencing the launch of the US Navy ship USS Milwaukee.
However Tony did not make any comments about that, he just seemed to do a random tweet.
Personally, I was more impressed with the USN's successful launch and landing of the X-47 from an aircraft carrier earlier in 2013, but I don't recall Tony tweeting about that.
The USS Milwaukee was developed by Lockheed Martin, which would be a related subsidiary to the partner on the above noted NGEN contract.
Tony did another Tweet with a Milwaukee theme; this one was about a data breach:
City of Milwaukee employees file complaint over data breach
- maybe just a coincidence? Or maybe that was the story he originally meant to Tweet?
I also understood that Tony could not attend the trade show in December. Brian was leading that one instead.
Perhaps things were getting too busy back at the office for Tony to be away then?
Maybe someone got word in December that something else is being launched?
Of course this whole side note is just speculation on my part.
Lots of speculation and coincidence.
