As soon as I read that press release my skin started to crawl. That is not a stock option plan to increase employee interest. That is them having the shareholders pay part of their ongoing payroll expenses month after month. The only companies that pay their employees their base salary in shares is start-up companies that have little to no income. This is a 30 year old company and their great idea is to have share holders foot part of the ongoing monthly expenses? Wow, they are really optimistic about the future, aren't they?
That is really going to be interesting when that does kick in. People and businesses do not accept shares as currency so employees month after month will be unloading shares in order to get their base salary so they can make the mortgage payments and put braces on Little Suzy.
Sorry guy's but in my opinion they just sugar coated complete and absolute financial capitulation.
