Why did AFI acquire this "technology". It's not like vertical farming is some new technology that only Vertical Designs can use. It's been around for over 15 years and been used all over the world. Success is limited according to the Economist: https://www.economist.com/node/17647627. The main concern is cost of lighting - requires huge energy buy could be worth it for certain crops.

Checked out some other websites: Verticrop and Velcent. Valcent was listed on the OTC but I think it's been delisted...
