The entire market is a gamble, unless you stay away from anything speculative and just invest in select Canadian chartered banks, select cable companies and telecoms, select pipelines, select insurers and maybe a few other dividend payers, but you had better diversify those ones too, because nasty surprises can and do happen all the time.

I submit that if for some reason this stock did go down to $1.75, it would be MORE of a gamble at that price than it is today a dollar higher, because it would mean something had gone terribly wrong.
