RE:stock option NEWS
RE:stock option NEWSThose that have been regulars on this BB for the last year or so- does anyone remember all the fuss around the fact that there was no insider ownership, no directors buying any shares? The argument was that they have no faith in the company if theyre not buying shares, they know something bad that we dont know, etc. Remember that? Anyways I guess this line from the stock option NR tells us why: 'Due to an extended blackout period imposed by the Company dating back to Q2 2012, it was not possible for these options to be granted at that time.' For over two years directors and insiders were prevented from buying shares or getting options, probably because they were in possession of material information that would have made the purchases unfair. Maybe if they were able to purchase shares back then they would have in order to show solidarity in support of the company? I dont know, just a thought. Now that they are able to get options and purchase shares it shows us, like @BigSmoke said a few days ago, they are in same boat as us- they dont know where the money is coming from. They have no material inside information. That could be a good thing or bad thing depending how you spin it- it's bad in that it leaves a lot of unknowns. It's good in that if directors are now allowed to buy shares or take out options and they do, it shows a sign of faith in the company, and should reassure shareholders. I don't like share dilution but I guess the silver lining in this is that they chose to give themselves a bonus in the form of shares rather than a salary increase or cash bonus. They must feel the options at 0.05 are gonna give them a better return than cash. JMHO
