If you read the Analysts reports on Eagle you will see a big ? mark hangs in the air over the ability of the company to maintain its present dividend policy. This has been ongoing for a long time. The history of Unit Trusts tells us that very often companies go down to the wire before lowering dividends even though every else knows it needs cutting and has been aware of that fact for some time.You cannot payout a high percentage of your profit and expect to grow or even maintain your present status when your asset is declining daily as you pump it.
