Isn't losing oil fields in Scotland simply a consequence of their possible seccesion from the UK ? Aren't the Scots wise to the central bank schemes and are trying to establish their own monetary system?

Punishment by who?

This seems to me to be a postitive develpment that will quicken the Petro-dollar stranglehold on the world.

yes, but think about this. Do you think 4 million Scots realy have that much power to schedule, organize, and perform this vote and and at  the end, declare independance from one of the biggest powers in the world, UK?  No way. They whoud have been crushed before even thinking about any referendum
I think there is very big power behind all of this and this  is all about Oil and energy... and US dollar of course.  By who?? I would guess, it is by groups and entities that run and control dollar.  London is making deals with China for qute some time, to take over Yuan handling in Europe. Uncle Sam dont' like it.

My guess is, Scots will vote YES,  and that will be end of U.K. Bullish for dollar? yes, for sure.
