RE:a tidbit for ya

RE:a tidbit for yaThanks for the info.

It is funny you say that. I saw their "promotional video" on youtube where they explain in detail the play (crater formed by meteorite)...it is colorful indeed!

But more seriously, it definitely seemed like the Keg River wells had a much thicker pay and was surprised they were not focusing on it more. I guess they are on the lookout...if they find pockets of that play, then it will be a bonanza for SOG.

What I like about them is the contrarian approach and the fact that we are on the cusp of some serious growth. My portfolio is full of "classic" AB/BC plays...they were different, they went where nobody else wanted to venture, captured the entire resource, developed the whole midstream solution to support their growth plan and are now ready to explode. I do feel that they will require significant external capital to develop the play but relative to other players, they are in great shape. In some sense, they remind me of CPE in the Permian...with the added advantage that they have much more acreage (talk about barriers to entry, nobody else can go there), their own midstream solution and a valuation that is a fraction of CPE. Canadian E&P stocks definitely have it tough relative to their US counterparts...

I am going to take the plunge tomorrow. As a US investor, I will buy the pink sheet stock which is super illiquid but given that I count on keeping them for three years at least, I hope the bid ask spread of three cents will not be that relevant then!
