RE:RE:RE:I seldom post here...I can only assume you are talking about Reliance (RIL) as one of the two majors. And yes, their CEO Mukesh Ambani is Indian, and has a good repore with the Indian gov't. In fact he is one of the richest and most powerful men in the world, and the richest and most powerful (non government) man in India. His father started RIL, and over the last 20 yrs that company has been integral in putting India on the world scene, so if they want something, the gov't listens. Let's not forget RIL is the majority owner/operator of the KGD6 block. They/Mukesh, not NKO, will be the ones negotiating with the GOI for increases in gas prices. The GOI doesn't want to anger their best corporate citizen. NKO will be a recipient of the fringe benefits of whatever negotiations RIL and GOI agree to. Essentially we have the most powerful Indian man in the world, and largest contributor to the Indian economy negotiating on our behalf. I'd say NKo just needs to sit back, and do 'business as usual' (as the press release indicates they will do), and let the big boys line our pockets.
