If you use the 26 cent close in Canada and discount it by .88 for currency conversion you get a "fair value" of PTAXF of .229. PTAXF closed at .22 so it's slightly out of alignment. Probably happens because you get a seller or buyer in a particular issue at a particular time. The market makers are going to "arb" the 2 issues, but it's not perfect. Someone buying or selling a chunk right at the close is going to cause the relative valuations to get slightly out of sync temporarily. Basically it's just noise.
