Borrow a little money from a bank and you lose sleep worrying how to repay it. Borrow a lot and the banker loses sleep worrying how you will repay it The $.05 scenario only works if the bank has run out of options and, so far they have not. Obviously, to avoid losses, NB will have to back some entity's proposal and carry some of the risk.
