They have a bit of code in their web page that "touches" it every day and makes it appear its been updated even if its remained untouched by human hands.
Googles doesn't compare the content before they claim an update, just the date the files were tagged last changed. Put this line in your daily.sh script
%touch -Rf ~webuser/websitedirectoryname
it'll make it look like all the files in the directory were edited the momemt the command is executed.
