RE:Oil prices

Yes production could change, but in many cases prices cannot change because of forward contracts. Producers do not sell on a day to day basis, they sell many months ahead. If I had the money, and contracted to buy 100,000,000 brls in March, at $60/brl, that is what I pay. Take a look at forward contracts on oil.
