RE:Imagine if EGL had distributed the $2/share cash....The movement of EGL's stock would worry me, if I was 'in' at the present time. Given that what you say is strictly true, it is also a bit implausible, as that is not what companies do or what their management is paid to do. Looking into Spyglass and their properties and plans, I think that many investors are leaving what they see as a sinking ship and it does look like EGL's leadership has bought into a poor deal. Spyglass openly state that they plan to use the cash to reduce debt and for CapEx on their properties in southern Alberta and not on their properties where EGL will receive 50&% of revenues less operating costs. That doesn't sound to me like a good investment, at all.
