RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Maybe capitulation dayIf I might add to the discussion here. The purpose of knocking it down is to get a foot in the door at a ridiculously low price. Besides panic sellers, they also get the stop loss orders taken out. After this they play it back and forth to churn out what they can and get as many shares cheap as possible. Then they start moving it up. But, remember, to build size you need to take it down also. More shares are accumulated on downswings than upswings. Once they have gotten their 10%, they do a big buy on day they report the position. Once that is out the stock goes alittle higher on the news and they make an offer to take rest of it. However, the buyout price generally will take two things in mind. One, highest price in past 1+ years and secondly, the book value. Obviously, BV is partially based on resources which are priced poorly now, which goes in their favor. But, $5 is certainly doable. People averaging down here will be happy, somewhat and those getting in new here will be ecstatic. The buyer is also getting a 25-35% discount based on what will be about a $4 price to them. All IMO, but based on past experience.
