Private forecaster Genscape reported a much smaller-than-expected increase of crude stockpiles at Cushing, Okla., the storage hub for the U.S. crude-oil market. The oil services firm reported a 1.4 million-barrel build at Cushing for the week through Feb. 27, Reuters said, citing sources.
That “alleviates some of the concern by some that Cushing storage would become full,” said Phil Flynn, senior market analyst at Price Futures Group. “It also indicates better U.S. demand.” "
