(2) streamline their transport operations

While any bank can provide them with the first item, I really hope that they will start partnerships with companies like Agrium, CN, GE Capital, Monsanto or Deere. This could really establish them as a major agricultural player who can offer a lot of services, or at worst as an amazing acquisition.
