I'm not sure where you get this stuff from FG but alumininum is nor replacing copper. It was tried in homes in the 70's and has been banned by all of Canada due to the disasterous results and fire hazzard.
Internal combustion engines use vitrually no copper except a small amount in crankshaft and camshaft bearings.
How are fiber optics replacing copper? Fiber optics do not transmit electricity, they transmit light, and if it is replacing copper, why did they not use it in the northern transmission line that was just built?
Copper is not being replaced by fiber optics. Every computer you buy has more copper in it than fiber.
