Glenn, Gold Price.. Look at the market right now... It isn't EGX, it everyone. Odin was sitting at around .75 a few month ago and now sit at .30. They are backed by one of the smartest mining investors in the world. Gold was sitting at close to $1400 a year ago. Everyone said gold would hit $2000/Oz. Many many speculations came into play that, if had happened, we would all be very well paid. They didnt. Even at $1400, EGX could have had a chance of a buyout.
As far as EGX goes, based on Patch's comment of EGX being "worthless" is pretty far fetched. The Condor Project is huge and they have barely broken the surface on exploration. We have billions of lbs of Cu that have not been placed into the indicated category yet that alone place EGX well above where we are now. Deller is not going to let this go bankrupt and lose his 10's of millions of dollars in investments. They kicked Laing to the curb which indicates that they already have a plan. Question is... who takes the lead on EGX? I doubt they will go with just any CEO with no experience here. Deller has been investing for years and had no trouble finding these new 4 board members with good backgrounds that he used to vote out Laing. (Which I previously said he'd do) He took ownership, waiting till annual AGM and voted them all out. Smart play. Now we have an Ecuadorian mine run by Ecuadorians. With any luck Deller finds us a well known CEO and we bounce back. Perhaps news of drilling and some forward looking statements. As for those that sold out of EGX.... where are you going to go? lol. Oil has just tanked, all commodoties are losing ground. These guys dont want to face the fact that we are still in, and have been for some time, a bear market. The good news is, we have cheap seats to a pretty good game. Selling stock in a company like EGX and putting it where? Oil? Naural gas? I, unlike patch, would never which the worst on anyone but at least with gold you see one natural disaster or a country going bankrupt we will see Gold heading way North again. Oil will never see $100/barrel again. Forced air, wood burning stoves, electric cars, "global warming".... they have removed oil from being a necessity. The absolute best place to be right now, IMHO, is in a cheap stock like EGX backed by money to pay for works being done and can weather the next 6 months to a year. At .02, EGX is by far the best place to be right now. If you think otherwise, place your money into a .30 stock like ODIN and see where you are in 6 months!!! EGX slipped on 6,000 shares. What is that $300? Even when they appoint a new CEO, drill and release results, these guys putting sell orders in at .03 and .035..... tell me where a better place right now in the TSX or V is to place your money for small and micro cap stocks right now? I would love to hear opinions on this, honestly! I'm not being an as$hole or scarastic at all, I would really like to know becuase in all my DD, I can't find a company better than EGX.
Thanks for the congrats all... Im not doing much DD till we see whos appointed CEO. Lost of fighting in Ecuador right now but the good news is that no matter what happens with the gov't, they still need mining in the country. I'm currently building a new home but plan to keep picking up the loose share here and there.
