Its very sad going forward for the solar industry. Also, its very sad for the state of mother earth. Fossil fuel consumption will continue to be on the rise for probably the next 20 years or more wrecking havoc on the environment on the global scale.
At this momemt in time an execess of 2 million barrels of oil is being produced daily and having an enormous pressure downwards on oil price. Furthermore, the USA and Iran nuclear deal will have the impact to bring back daily some 4 million additonal barrels in the market, thus further impacting the cost at the pump lower.
Some will say its good news but its far from it. Here are the impacts:
1) Much less tax revenues for governments. (Imagine the impact on services and pension funds)
2) Green technology developement will mostly likely be slowed down very much. (The masses of consummers will spend where its the cheapest)
3) Green house effect from fossil fuel consumption will spike more causing havoc on the environment on a global scale causing major weather changes, impacting the food supply chain.
Very grim outlook when you have oil companies that don't want to share the top spot with the green energies companies to help the transition to cleaner environment for the future of man kind.
All in my opinion.
