I was thinking everybody knows that silver is valuable from silver coins and silverware being valuable but apparently Americans don't appreciate just how valuable silver is in itself. This is thanks to the long-standing government policy of discouraging personal ownership of precious metals vs fiat money. Didn't mean to be a wise guy.
