RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:BitGold Case Study VenezuelaThank you, GB. I was half expecting to get flamed for that last post, so its encouraging to see that I expressed something on the mind of at least one of the other posters here. I agree that so far these young guys are doing an impeccable job, no doubt benefiting from the experience and connections of the old guard at Gold Money.
I wouldn't have invested in the company if they weren't, as you say, "proceeding cautiously" and (unlike, say, BitCoin) working within the regulatory process and trying to build a secure and lasting enterprise.
My concern is that lawyers can help you to follow the law as it exists, but may not be so helpful when the laws are changed to suit those who write them. The most effective way to put an end to something still in its infancy isn't to outlaw it, it's to tie it up in legal action for years and years and create FUD in the minds of potential customers and investors. And, sadly, lawyers (on both sides) are often only too happy to oblige.
I have no doubt that these guys can do it if anyone can. We'll just have to wait and see if they can continue jumping over any hurdles the banking establishment try to throw in front of them.
